my easter dress

I wanted to post a picture of me in my Easter ensemble not because I look smashing, (which, let's face it, I do! :)), but because of the dress itself. It was my Grandma Sprague's dress from the 1940's. (It's not "Old"....It's "Vintage"!) My Grandma has been in an assisted living home for a few months. In march, my Mom went to California to go through some things of my G'ma's and get her house ready to rent. My Mom came home with several 'treasures'. She was going to put this dress away in her cedar chest, but I saw it, tried it on, and thought it would be fun to wear as my Easter dress. The dress is black with an interesting pattern of flowers and a women's head in cream, light pink, & jade. It's not really my favorite style but there is something cool about wearing this dress. It has a history that I wish I knew more of, but I like to imagine...
