"marriage"

This coming Sat. is my 11th anniversary of being married. Marriage is such an awesome commitment to God and your Spouse. In this Political world this word has become quite the 'HOT TOPIC' I've always known how I feel about this but I read my friend Regan's Blog and she said it better then I could so I'm stealing her lines and adding my "Amen!"
'Marriage is an incredibly sacred word, it's definition is something that I hold in the utmost esteem. I believe that I was given the opportunity to come to this Earth, find an eternal partner, build a family with that person, and do my darndest to live a good life and return to my Heavenly Father. I don't want rights taken away, I don't want gay couples to feel as if their unions don't matter, I don't want children sitting in orphanages when there are happy healthy homes out there for them to be living in... but I do want gay couples to have their own definition. Marriage to me, in my Religious perspective (and for thousands of years in the Religious perspective) means between a man and a woman. What gives the Political world the right to step in and just "change" the meaning of this Religious word? It's that simple for me...'
Thanks Regan for saying it better then I could.
